When you use maibum.ai, we collect the following data to provide our service:

• The item description, price, income, and mood you enter into the form
• Your verdict result (buy, don't buy, or maybe) and confidence score
• Your IP address (used solely for rate limiting, not stored long-term)
• Basic analytics data (page views, events) via Vercel Analytics

• To generate AI-powered purchase verdicts
• To display aggregate statistics (total decisions made)
• To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
• To improve the service over time

✦ Third-party services

We use the following third-party services that may collect data:

• AI providers (Anthropic Claude, DeepSeek, or OpenAI) — your item description and form inputs are sent to one of these providers to generate a verdict. Each provider has its own privacy policy.
• Supabase — stores decision records in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase.
• Upstash Redis — temporarily stores IP-based rate limit counters (auto-expire after 24 hours).
• Vercel — hosts the application and may collect basic request logs.
• Google AdSense — we display third-party advertisements on our site. Google may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

✦ Cookies

maibum.ai itself uses localStorage to save your language preference (English or Chinese). We do not set cookies directly. However, third-party services such as Google AdSense may set cookies for ad personalization and analytics. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings.

✦ Data retention

Decision records are stored indefinitely in our database. Rate limit data expires automatically after 24 hours. We do not sell your data to any third parties.
